Have you ever stumbled across something you wrote years ago and felt like it was meant for this exact moment? Recently, I found a prayer I had written during a season when God was stirring my heart; I had forgotten I had even written it! As I read it again, it reminded me why I became a Christian Life Coach and why I’m so passionate about helping women like you experience renewal.
Here’s the prayer:
“Lord, I know You have placed a call on my heart to share You–Your truths revealed in the scriptures–to worn and weary women struggling with anxiety, worry, and doubt. Please show me and use me to reach their hearts and minds and show them there is power in positive thinking, positive affirmations, and daily affirmations. Keep me from being more internet noise but a woman of conversion–always renewing my heart and mind to grow in closer friendship with You. And a woman of conviction–able to share Your truths through my life stories and ponderings which I share on Called to Life Coaching for the encouragement of others.”
As I read those words again, I felt the weight of their truth now as a Certified Christian Life Coach. This prayer isn’t just my heart; it’s my mission. If you’re a woman worn down by anxiety, worry, or doubt…or even “just life,” I want you to know you don’t have to stay stuck. There’s a way to renew your mind, rediscover your joy, and walk confidently in God’s promises.
What Christian Life Coaching Can Do for You
Through Christian Life Coaching, I help women like you move from being overwhelmed to having clarity. One of the most transformative tools we use is thought awareness—recognizing the thoughts that drive your emotions and actions—and replacing those thoughts with God’s truth.
Romans 12:2 tells us, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.” That’s the essence of Christian Life Coaching: inviting God into the process of renewing your mind so that you can live freely as the woman He’s called you to be.
The Science of Daily Affirmations
You might wonder, “Can something as simple as daily affirmations really make a difference?” The answer is yes—and even science agrees. Studies on neuroplasticity reveal that our brains are capable of changing and creating new neural pathways when we repeatedly focus on positive, empowering thoughts.
As believers, we take this a step further by grounding our affirmations in Scripture. For example:
- “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
- “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
- “The Lord is my Shepherd; I have all that I need.” (Psalm 23:1)
When you declare these truths over your life, you’re not just speaking positivity—you’re aligning your mind with God’s Word. Over time, this practice can replace fear, doubt, and negativity with faith, confidence, and peace.
A Prayer-Filled Journey of Renewal
The prayer I wrote years ago reminds me of what’s possible when we allow God to guide our thoughts. If you’re feeling stuck, start by taking these steps:
- Pray for Guidance: Ask God to reveal the thoughts that are holding you back and replace them with His truth.
- Recognize the Lies: Write down the negative thoughts that pop up most often in your mind.
- Replace Them with Scripture-Based Affirmations: Speak these truths daily, trusting that God’s Word will renew your mind.
- Seek Support: Sometimes, you need a guide. That’s where Christian Life Coaching comes in.
