Thanking God for…

::rain

::thoroughly scrubbing the house down on Friday

::green beginning to peek through the brown

::chickens wandering around all day long

::new baby calves

::a neighbor hands on teaching Luke about cattle

::the Guineas cackling

::a slow weekend

Praying…

I am praying for those who do the hard things that often go unseen. You know, the things that make your lip quiver, your stomach flip and the name of Jesus the only words you can muster. Or the hard things that are just assumed to be the normal parts of everyday life that aren’t noticed until they aren’t done. I admire the determination to do the hard things to get to the good. I am also praying for introverts. It’s hard to be one sometimes and even harder to be misunderstood.

Pondering…

I’m pondering 3 year olds and almost 17 year olds and everyone in between…late nights when teens come alive and early mornings when toddlers come alive…mom time with children and Jenny time with Chris…temper tantrums and silent treatments…Lent and Life…the difference between happiness and joy and the contentment in contradiction.

Listening to…

John Denver radio on Pandora. I’ve enjoyed
Our House"", Gordon Lightfoot"" and Jim Croce"".

Reading…

My Bible""

Divine Intimacy: Meditations on the Interior Life for Every Day of the Liturgical Year""

Our Thoughts Determine Our Lives: The Life and Teachings of Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica""

Bible Journaling…

So I’ve continued this past week using one of my other Bibles for
Bible journaling. I will be posting later on how I’ve been using my Ignatius Press Bible"" and my large print Bible.

I have decided I’m not a “draw-er” and I am totally ok with that. As far as creative Bible journaling, I am a fan of hand lettering or using stamps and stickers. I’m also always a fan of just plain ‘ol writing for journaling.

Around the House…

Friday we had a major house clean–good stuff. Then Friday night we had a moment of little guy anger which resulted in a slammed door–a no-no–which knocked off some old window panes I have from my grandparents house sitting on the top of a book case. There was glass EVERYWHERE and the panes also broke a chair that was sitting beneath them. I’m on the look out for a new chair and my living room floor was spotless as of Friday night due to so much sweeping and re-sweeping.

In the Kitchen…

Oh gracious, could someone just please come plan, shop and cook for me for a while. The rut is deep and wide my friends. Except for! Leo wanted S’mores for his birthday cake…those don’t take place in the kitchen but still worthy of mentioning.

Our Domestic Church…

This Thursday is the Feast of St Joseph so we will do something special for Chris.
