Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…

Y’all, what am I not praying for? We traveled with friends this soccer weekend. My friend loves to watch Fox News and even though a more conservative news source, wow! There’s a lot of news and I can’t really say being in the loop of what’s going on in the world is doing me any favors. There’s a lot of people that need a lot of prayer in this world!

Pondering…

Again, I watched more news coverage this weekend than I have in a long time. I probably won’t make that mistake again. And on another note, we ate dinner in downtown Little Rock that had about a dozen televisions tuned to sports and two little ones on the inauguration ceremonies. We sat down and ordered our food and just before President and Mrs. Trump were going to attend their first Inaugural Ball, they changed the channel. We asked them to turn it back–honestly, we wanted to see what Melania Trump and Mrs. Pence were wearing. The restaurant refused, saying it was too controversial. Really? We live in America and cannot watch our own president dance his first dance?! It was so ridiculous it was hilarious!

Listening to…

Boys wrestling, the washer and dryer running, Veronica pull in on our gravel drive.

Reading…

The New Jerusalem Bible, Reader’s Edition

Over the weekend I finished a blogging book that was not on my over-eager, ultra-ambitious reading list for this year.

Today, on the 44th anniversary of Roe V Wade I started Bible journaling through Psalm 139. My initial takeaway was, I'm no surprise to God. And then the Holy Spirit reminded me, neither are the women who marched yesterday wearing vulgar hats and shouting profanities. He formed them in their mother's womb just as much as He formed me. And so I conclude this post, the way the Psalmist did in Psalm 139:23-24…"God, examen me and know my heart, test me and know my concerns. Make sure that I am not on my way to ruin, and guide me on the road of eternity." There but for the grace of God go I. #psalms #psalm139 #prolife #scripture #bible #thewordofGod #encouragement #womenoftheword #lampandlight #simplebiblejournaling #biblejournaling #journalingbible #catholicjournalingbible #illustratedfaith #readyourbible #noteworthytruth #soulscripts #faithblogger #catholicmom
