Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Pondering…

Learning hard lessons…the hard way.

Listening to…

I want to listen to opera. Sunday, while talking to a fellow soccer mom, we were talking about music. I like all kinds of music but have never been able to get opera. Later in the conversation, turns out she has her Master’s in vocal performance! So, I want to try to listen to opera. Any good recommendations?

I’m also listening to Let’s All Be Brave on Hoopla.

Around the House…

Getting things ready for my short trip. I want things to be as easy as possible for everyone here; cleaning, grocery shopping and such.

In the Kitchen…

Since I’ll be gone a few days, I’m buying “keep it easy convenience” foods.

Self Care

Although my surgery was almost six months ago, I do still notice I can get tired easier. So, my self-care this weekend has been to come straight in from the soccer game and trip, take a hot shower and short nap. On another note, I wore
Sunshine Spice as perfume today and really liked the Fallish scent. (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon instead of a distributor.)

I wear this ring daily, 'Jesus I Trust in You.' It is a constant reminder…when I'm balancing the checkbook, taking a child to the doctor, homeschooling, parenting 7 children ages 5 to 17, dealing with hurts, doubt, and confusion, and getting ready to pack for a small blog conference in New Orleans, that will require me to fly and change planes at an airport literally larger than the town I live near. And when I ask myself "Why?" to any or all of the above, the answer is because I'm living out what He has called me to be and do. Jesus, I trust in You @pinksaltriot #pinksaltriot #livebrave #nowisnow #nowisgood #butfirstGod #catholicmom #catholic #trust #Jesus #blogger #faithblogger
