Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get talked about enough: hesitation. You know — that pause you feel in your gut when you sense something needs to shift… but you don’t move. That moment where God whispers, “Let’s deal with this,” and everything in you wants to — but still, you wait.
You stall.
You put it off.
You tell yourself it’s not the right time.
You try to convince yourself you’re just being wise or careful or practical or maybe it wasn’t even the Lord nudging you forward.
But deep down?
You’re hesitating.
And sometimes, sometimes — hesitation isn’t wisdom. It isn’t discernment. It isn’t the Holy Spirit saying “not yet.”
It’s just fear… dressed up in spiritual language.
And friend, that fear? That pause? That moment where you shrink back from the changes you know you need?
That is from the enemy.
I know that might sound dramatic, but I’ve lived it. And as much as I knew I was struggling mentally and emotionally…I also knew there was a spiritual component to it.
I’ve sat in seasons where I knew something had to change. Where I cried out to God for help, for peace, for relief from the anxiety and mental overload and constant swirl. And I know He heard me. And I know He answered me. I’d feel His nudge: “Let’s go here. Let’s address this. Let’s start now.”
But I’d hesitate.
Not because I didn’t love Him. Not because I didn’t want transformation. But because I was scared. Scared of what would come up if I got honest. Scared of what I’d have to face. Scared of doing the work. Scared I’d fail—again. It felt safer to stay stuck than to risk taking a step forward.
And the enemy loves that.
He doesn’t need to wreck your marriage, or your health, or your family if he can just keep you stuck, hopeless, afraid to move. If he can just get you to hesitate every time God moves. If he can just keep you distracted, doubting, second-guessing, and circling. The enemy doesn’t destroy with a wrecking ball. He destroys with doubt…”Did God really say…” (+Genesis 3)
“He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].”
+Ecclesiastes 11:4 (AMP)
That verse has both comforted me and convicted me. How many times have I waited to do the thing I already knew God was calling me to do?
How many times have you?
We don’t need more clarity. We don’t need more signs. We don’t need a “perfect moment” to change. We don’t need more information or do more research. And we don’t need to feel confident. We need courage to do what we already know we need to do!
You don’t need another Bible study or new devotional.
You don’t need another self-help book.
You don’t need to wait until the kids are older, or the money’s better, or the house is cleaner.
You don’t need a better organizational system or a new planner.
You need to move. Now. In the middle of the mess. While it’s still uncomfortable.
Because that’s where change actually happens.
And I want to lovingly challenge you with this: If you’ve been hesitating, and it’s become a pattern — don’t call it “being cautious.” Call it what it is: fear, shame, guilt, denial. And if that’s where you are right now, I see you.
You’re not weak and you’re not broken.
But it’s time to move.
Here’s the hard truth I had to face: God wasn’t going to drag me into healing. He was inviting me into it. And every time I hesitated, I delayed the peace I was praying for.
“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”
+Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
Faith isn’t a vibe.
It’s not waiting for the fear to go away.
Faith is choosing to walk forward anyway.
Even if you’re shaking. Even if you’re unsure. Even if it’s just one tiny baby step forward.
It’s trusting the Lord and yourself. God’s got you and you’ve got you! I know that’s a new concept for you, but you’re safe because you’ve got yourself.
If this hits home today — if you’re feeling the weight of hesitation and you’re tired of circling the same thoughts, same fears, same mental clutter—I want you to know this:
You don’t have to stay there.
This is exactly why I created the Thought Renewal Blueprint. Because I know how easy it is to want transformation but feel paralyzed by the process.
I know what it’s like to love God, read your Bible, and still feel like your thoughts are running the show…and the show is out of control!
And I also know what it’s like to finally say: Enough!
The Thought Renewal Blueprint gives you the actual tools to move forward. It’s not about pretending the hard stuff isn’t there — it’s about finally having the tools to face it with clarity, truth, and grace. It helps you catch those doubts, fears, and hesitant thoughts in real time and replace them with something aligned, empowering, and rooted in Scripture.
Inside the toolkit, I walk you through:
Recognizing your thought patterns and why they keep looping.
Revealing the lies that fuel fear and resistance.
Replacing those lies with life-giving, Scripture-based truth.
Repeating this new thought cycle until it becomes your new default.
You don’t need a personality transplant.
You don’t need to become someone else.
You just need to renew your mind — and this will help you start.

Listen, if you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it. Hello! I’m glad you’re here! It’s no accident you’re here, by the way.
Don’t wait for your thoughts to magically change or improve. That’s not how it works.
You take the step — and your mind catches up.
You obey first. Then the clarity comes.
You act in faith. Then the peace follows.
If I could reach through this screen and sit with you face to face, I’d tell you: You are stronger than this hesitation. You are capable of healing. You are not too far gone. And you are not doing this alone.
You don’t have to stay stuck.
You just have to start.
Your Biggest Cheerleader,
Jenny
P.S. If you’re ready to stop circling and start moving, grab the Blueprint. It’s the first step. It’s not everything, but it’s exactly what you need to get started.
