Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. Bible Journaling…
A friend reminded me last week about the YouVersion App on my phone. I had it but never used it; I don’t like reading on devices, I prefer paper books. But one night last week I sat down and started reading the Bible in 90 Days on my phone using the app. Oh my goodness! This is a great daily reading tool, strictly for getting the Word in. I can highlight on the app, make notes, cross reference, compare translations, etc. But maybe one of the features I love is the “Friend” ability! We can friend each other over there, see the highlights and notes we’ve taken, do a reading plan together, it is awesome! I would love for you all to join me over there. If you’ve ever wondered how I read my Bible daily and what kind of notes I take, this is the way!! JOIN ME!!
Around the House…
I kind of feel like things are settling down for the summer?? I don’t know, it all seems kind of busy for an introvert hermit. That being said, there is always laundry to be folded…lots of it! I told the kids today if they could all stop wearing clothes that’d be great.
In the Kitchen…
eMeals has reinvigorated my kitchen routine! My family is super happy, lol! They have a free 14-day trial if you’d like to see what it’s all about. I tried it years ago and liked it, but now I love it since I can connect my online grocery shopping to it. I don’t even want to admit the number of times I end up meal planning and grocery shopping while sitting int he car waiting for a child!

Self Care
Let’s see, I’ve already told you I’m working out. My melanoma in situ surgery scar is healing nicely–thank you good plastic surgeon, and Frankincense and Lavender essential oils. I am going to add Helichrysum essential oil to my roller bottle too. I’ve talked about using YouVersion to read my Bible daily…sleep, I’m trying to get to bed earlier. Oh, sunscreen! I need to wear a daily facial sunscreen of at least SPF 30 the dermatologist said. I have found one I love, L’BRI Daily Facial Moisturizer. It’s light, not greasy, and doesn’t make me look like a ghost. Let me know if you’d like to order some since I am still a L’BRI consultant because I love the discount! My teens love the facial wash and don’t want to try something new since they know this works and I totally get that.
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)

Friends, I am touching up some old posts this summer. They need to be updated so you may see some of them republished soon! They are the posts that are searched for the most, like Bible Journaling, Prayer Journaling, Calendar Pages, our Online Bible Study Community (YAY!), etc.
Our Domestic Church…
Who wore red this past Sunday? Not me! I totally forgot it was Pentecost Sunday. Ugh!
I had this thought the other day, and it kind falls under the Domestic Church prompt. Some of you may have seen this Instagram when I shared it.
Saving Money…
Um, we’ve met our outrageous insurance deductible this year, does that count? Silver lining friends. Silver lining.
