Welcome to my weekly Daybook post here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Pondering…
“Motherhood is a choice you make everyday, to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is…and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.”

Around the House…
We started our new school year last week. We have a Junior, Freshman, 7th, 5th, 3rd and Leo. We had a great first week! The Littlest Way was quiet. Hopefully I’ll find my momma/homeschooler/writer groove sooner rather than later.
In the Kitchen…
Along with a great first week of school, I did really well on breakfast, lunch and dinner for everyone. The kids usually have cereal with milk for breakfast. Last week we alternated between cereal, baked oatmeal and something else I can’t remember, lol! Lunches were well planned and well rounded and dinners were as well. The Littlest Way was quiet.
Our Domestic Church…
We are making our way through 33 Days to Morning Glory for Luke and Bridget who will make their Total Consecration soon. Luke chose the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows–September 15th and Bridget chose Our Lady of Guadalupe–December 12th. We are reading this book as part of our morning family school because those of us who have already made our Consecration can use the refresher.
Saving Money…
The absolute easiest way I save money on a weekly basis is by using Ibotta. Actually my 14 year old Anna does it for me. It cost nothing to use and in one year we’ve saved a little over $100. You just do your regular shopping. Once you get home, scroll through Ibotta and if there is a rebate for something you purchased, you scan the barcode with your phone and then take a picture of your receipt. You can be paid through Paypal or gift cards.
