Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

::continued healing and return of strength from surgery
::white, puffy clouds in the sky

::verse mapping through Philippians
Praying…
Oh my goodness y’all, the things our teens and pre-teens deal with, hear, and do! Pray…Pray…Pray. Here are a couple of books I recommend to get you started or if you need fresh encouragement, new ideas of how and where and when and what to pray for.
Pondering…
“Parents are the first spiritual directors of their children.”
“The goal of a spiritual director is to help you recognize how the Holy Spirit is working in your life. The emphasis is deepening one’s relationship, not with the spiritual director but with God, by developing an active, vital prayer life.” (What is a Spiritual Director)
Listening to…
The boys are building Legos, Anna just loaded the dishwasher and Bridget is getting a small snack of a graham cracker with cookie butter. I’m anxiously waiting to hear my phone chime alerting me that Chris has answered my text “Date?” with a “Yes.”
Reading…
My large print Bible
Fire and Light: Learning to Receive the Gift of God
Bible Journaling…
I’ve spent this week much like last, verse mapping through Philippians. I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed this! Not only the physical act of writing the Word of God in my own handwriting, but looking up cross references, synonyms, commentaries, and even a couple of rabbit trails like “What is the Gospel…What is my understanding of salvation, and reading more about the “Church Militant.”
Around the House…
We are being overrun by ants! All the rain, although great for filling farm ponds, has driven all the ants inside!
In the Kitchen…
I would like to add more beauty to our food and meals. I’ve realized recently the last number of years I’ve considered food more in terms of physical nourishment forgetting it can also nourish in other ways.
Diffusing
I just placed an Amazon order for more Peppermint; we use this oil in and for everything. I also ordered Goodnight and some roller bottles so we can carry oils with us. Have you seen everyone doing their “unboxing” videos on Facebook live? I’m thinking about doing one for my oils. I order Edens Garden Oils from Amazon, (you can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon instead of a distributor.)

Thursday is the Feast of the Ascension! Here are some Ascension crafts and some further reading.
Saving Money…
Ibotta…Ibotta…Ibotta! I know, I mention Ibotta frequently, but it is a total no-brainer. We just used some of our earnings to purchase an Amazon gift card so the kids could buy some books for their Kindles. Literally, all I do is shop and see if anything I purchased has a rebate. If it does, I use the app to scan the barcode, take a picture of the receipt and earn money.

Can you do a blog post on verse mapping. I missed your insta-stories but I am very interested in this. I’ve been googling and looking on Pinterest but would love to get your perspective and process. Thanks
