Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I’m praying for perseverance for myself. Chris and I sat in a parking lot Sunday and talked it out. He heard me and understood me about this particular situation, that’s a prayer in itself. He encouraged me to hang on and I can, I can do hard things, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Pondering…
A quote I wrote down in my work planner, “We need women who know how to make important things happen by their faith.” I’m not sure who said it but it made me think of a conversation I had with a dear friend last night at our surprise anniversary party. I told her the specific intentions we’ve been praying for concerning our daughter and college. She said, “Oh, I like it. You’re praying big!” I told her that yes, we are praying for big. We are praying for it all. And I realize “all” may not be revealed the first year. I realize our prayer may take all four years to come to fruition. I wonder how many times we pray for “all” and only get some. But if we looked back, eventually we got “all.”
Listening to…
I made a road trip playlist. It was good. This morning it was my exercise playlist.

Bible Journaling…
Did you see the post the other day about Bible Journaling on Instagram? Some days, I just need to scroll through and see people’s Bibles.
Around the House…
It was clean and tidy. Now it’s not. The End.
In the Kitchen…
I have decided one of the best meals to bless someone with must be Pioneer Woman’s Spicy Pulled Pork. It’s ridiculously easy to make. It can be frozen into a couple of bags for a new momma or someone recovering from being sick. All they have to do is dump it into a pot and warm it up.
Self Care
I need to walk on my treadmill, stretch, eat the Trim Healthy Mama way to be the best me. I know this so why do I fall off the blessed wagon so often and easily! Also, still oving my essential oils (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon instead of a distributor) and L’BRI skincare. This is literally the first time in my life I have used a skincare line and continued to using it no less. My Anna’s face is completely cleared of the awful acne she had when she started L’BRI. Now she’s using the Time Erase serum to take care of the scarring. She can already tella difference in the scarring even. She said the scars are not as deep, hard, and red.
A Great Blog Post
Speaking of “Did you see?” I’m starting a new post series, “God’s Word Quotes.” You can see the first one here, “Are You Ignorant?”
The Littlest Way
I keep seeing all these reminders about how quickly Christmas is coming and I’m like, “Wait! Let’s Advent first.” Go ahead and get your Daily Advent Devotional printed and ready to go. And let me answer a common question about the start date of this devotional. It starts December 1st, but this year, 2017, Advent starts December 3rd. Last year it started in November. That’s one of the reasons I chose to start my devotional on a set date, because otherwise I’d have to have a variety of editions. I also chose December 1st because it follows the common Jesse Tree readings. I know many women and families follow those readings and I wanted a devotional, just for women, that could be familiar, a second exposure maybe even to those common readings.
Our Domestic Church…
Michaelmas is coming up the end of the week. Here’s a post with some history and traditions, Michaelmas Traditions: Prayers, Food, and Flowers
Saving Money…
Here’s one of my new plans for saving money, looking at it everyday. Looking at it, tracking it, etc. I usually look at it onece a week or maybe longer. At that ppoint I usually have a handful of receipts to enter, maybe I’ve forgotten one or two, then Chris has spent some…I’m going to log into our account daily to keep better tabs on our money.
Look at this lovely neckalce from Pink Salt Riot.
