Welcome to my weekly Sunday post, Daybook Online Journal. I made a slight change to the normal prompts. Instead of “Captured” I included “What I Wore Sunday.” You can keep up with my captures by following my Instagram account. If you have a blog and write an online journal type of post, leave the link in the comments. If you don’t blog, answer the prompts in the comment section. I’d love a peek into your day to day.
Just a reminder, if you shop Amazon this Christmas–or anytime–click through here and I get a little change in my pocket when you make a purchase–at no extra cost to you. It’s not enough to make me retire, but it is enough to help cover the cost of The Littlest Way. I appreciate it.
Daybook: Online Journal
Praying for…
I am praying for all those who suffer with their minds. I read your emails and I take them to heart. I have been there and still occasionally wander down that one-way street. Cling to Jesus. Don’t give up hope.
Pondering…
I am pondering the importance of a daily, probably, morning time with Jesus. Sometimes my quiet doesn’t come until later in the day or evening. I think that’s probably too late for me.

In the Kitchen...
Chris is home so our dinners will look a little more structured and hearty. But all in all, we didn’t do terrible while he was away. Again I need to thank my daughters on this one. Those girls are amazing.
Around the House…
Um, you can now tell we’ve been living in a somewhat “survival mode” while Chris was away. It didn’t seem so much at the time, but looking at things through his eyes…I’ve got some cobwebs to tend to among other things.
Looking Ahead…
school, chores, dentist, piano lessons, soccer games and weekend tourney

I’ve been reading your online daybook for a while now and trying to figure out how to incorporate it into my own blog so I can keep track of the days and weeks, etc and actually remember the little things of life and have a record of them. I’ve been wondering for a while (and keep meaning to comment and ask) where you got the idea and the prompts or if you just came up with it yourself. I love the idea because it seems like such a simple way to handle things and I am ALL about simple! I was thinking about your daybook today and actually did a Google search and landed on this entry, so I thought I’d comment.
By the way, I LOVE the quilt in the background of your picture! It looks almost identical to the wedding quilt my mother-in-law made for us when we got married. 🙂 Thank you too, for praying for those who suffer with their minds. If you’ve read any of my story, I’m sure you know that’s a subject dear to my heart. Thank you too for all your comments on my blog. They are always so encouraging! God bless you!

Hi Therese. First, the quilt is called “Road to Oklahoma” I think. I picked out the pattern and colors and my grandpa cut the material and my grandma sewed it all together. They have made me lots of quilts and this one is one of my favorites.
Second, I have seen different versions of an Daybook Online Journal around the internet for years. There used to be, I’m not sure if it’s still around, one called “Simple Woman’s Daybook” I’ve seen others write a similar post and title it “Currently.” As for the prompts, they are just what I want to keep track of. Some women have a “wearing” prompt–I really don’t think I’ll care so I never included it–so funny to say on a post that has a “What I Wore” picture. Some homeschoolers list detailed lesson plans for the week ahead…it’s just whatever you choose to keep in your online journal.

That is so neat that both your grandpa and grandma made that for you 🙂 I love the colours too (red is my favourite colour)! Our wedding quilt is a pattern called Burgoyne Surrounded and it’s done in red and white. My mom-in-law is an avid quilter and she cut and pieced the top and then sandwiched it, but she had a friend of hers from her quilt guild do the quilting and then she did the binding on the edges to finish it. She’s been teaching me to quilt, but I’m still very much a novice!
Thank you for the info on your Daybook! I thought it must be something like that and as a matter of fact, in thinking that, I decided to just go at it myself and kinda pick and choose my prompts and write my first one today! I linked back to your blog in my post because this is where I first got the idea 🙂 I’m with you on the “wearing…” prompt, although I did include that today just as a way to get something on the page. I didn’t include a picture though as I figure everyone has seen black leggings under a knit dress and no one wants to see my blue slippers! 🙂

Pondering my (admittedly poor) work habits and the joy of rediscovering an afternoon quiet time (the morning one being a well-cemented habit now).

In the kitchen, turkey fillets defrosting. Anything you make with chicken, I make with turkey; my husband is allergic to chicken. We’ll be having baked mushroom “chicken,” oven roasted potatoes, and leftover homemade red cabbage w/apples.
Around the house, I need to attack several sewing projects and our floors this week. Filing, too, must do some filing. Ugh.
Looking ahead to two embroidery guild meetings this week, a couple of piano lessons, Catholic Bible study and midweek Mass, and a Skype session with my personal Bible study and sewing buddy.
Jenny, I particularly like the skirt and boots combo: very feminine and practical for chilly days.

Listening to the washing machine is one of my favorite sounds. I like hearing something work that I totally take for granted on a daily basis!

LOVE the shawl and it goes so well with your blouse! Thank you so much for linking up!

Thanks Emily. I wish I could find another like it. Most of them have fringe at the bottom and I always get that stuff stuck in the car door!
