Welcome to the Daybook Journal. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
* I’ve written an ebook to guide you through the whys and hows to get started with Bible Journaling, Bible Journaling Tips, Inspiration and Permission, and to encourage and inspire you in your Bible journaling!
Thanking God for…
::strong, healthy children
::a peaceful Mass
::Chris and Luke turkey hunting (and getting one)
::sleep
::I’m even thankful for standing in freezing weather at the 5K finish line and sitting in the freezing weather on the soccer sidelines
Praying…
I’m praying all the ‘Clarity’ prayers right now for Chris and I and for our children. I’m also praying to recognize the time. Time just seems to be moving so incredibly fast right now and I want to make sure I’m not being swept away in the rush of it all. I want to recognize each moment, no matter how fleeting.
Pondering…
I’m pondering time blocking. Do any of you use a time block system in your day to day?
Listening to…
At the moment, nothing. The house is still asleep after a busy, cold, windy weekend.
Reading…
The One Year Bible – Catholic: NLT
This is my “quantity” Bible to make sure I get the Word inside me each and every day.

This is my study Bible.

Around the House…
Weekend Recovery Mode needs to be in full force today, but I’m tired and cold so we’ll see how far we get.
In the Kitchen…
Each week I cannot get over how much money I am saving using Walmart Online Grocery Pickup and Aldis. And the time I’m saving as well. Instead of walking around Walmart for anhour long grocery shop, I sit down at my computer and knock it out in 10-15 minutes, especially if I’m ordering the same things over and over, I just click into my ‘Favorites’ and they’re all there.
Self Care
I had to make a restock order the other day. I was out of Goodnight, which I also wear during the day. It’s comparable to DoTerra’s Serenity and Young Living’s Peace and Calming blend. Veronica has been taking hot baths with Frankincense, Peppermint, and Lavender, especially after hard practices or games. (You can read here why I purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member with FREE shipping, Edens Garden has FREE shipping all the time in the US.)
The Littlest Way
I’m shifting focus from growing a social media presence to form our community, to building it right here. Since so many people are on and use social media, that seems like a logical place to build, form, and grow. But, that leaves out the few who aren’t on social media. And, time and again it has been shown that since you don’t own social media like I own this website and domain, social media can do whatever they want with an account, and finally, do I really want our little way community based on the big and fast way of social media…nah. So a reignited focus here, for all of us.
Our Domestic Church…
Today is the Feast of Annunciation (transferred) and this Wednesday is Leo’s Feast Day–St. Leo the Great, Pope, Confessor, and Doctor. And finally, this Sunday is ‘Good Shepherd Sunday.’ One of the neatest books I’ve ever read was a book going through Psalm 23 from the point of a real shepherd, A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23.
Saving Money…

I echo Kelly’s words. Thank your for your site and the community you’ve built. I really appreciate you!

You’re very welcome. I’m trying to figure out a way ladies. It may have to be Facebook for a while because it’s the easiest and cheapest option right now. Still working…
Michelle says
Time block system. Would that be similar to what’s in the book, A Mother’s Rule of Life?
Jenny says
Um, I’m not sure, that’s why I was asking you all, lol!
Kelly says
Thank you for offering and building community with us here on your site. I am not on social media and appreciate that. Thank you!
Jenny says
Girl I’m trying. Facebook is just so convenient (for those on it) and free on my end. Other options for a community have site fees. I’m still working.
