What if I took St. Paul’s advice, “Let your gentleness be known.” What if I made it a point all day, every day to let my gentleness be known this Lent? As part of our Bible quotes topic here at The Littlest Way, let’s look at a verse on gentleness.
Book of Sirach: Pay Attention to What You Say
It’s important to pay attention to what we say to others, but it’s equally important to pay attention to what we say to ourselves, lest we give others a reason to call us a hypocrite.
Daybook Online Journal: Lent Begins
Welcome to my weekly Sunday post, Daybook Online Journal. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. If you blog, please link up below with your Daybook Online Journal post. If you don’t have a blog, no worries, just leave your “post” in the comments. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.
Bible Journaling: Favorites Tabs
I know quite a few stories, lessons or verses in the Bible, but when I need to recall them quickly, well, I can’t. I can sometimes give a general, “It’s in one of the Gospels.” Or, “It’s on a page with some green and yellow highlighting.” Umm, that doesn’t always get me where I want to go and especially not very quickly. So let’s talk about Bible Journaling: Favorites Tabs.
Bible Quotes: Wait for the Lord
Let me get this out there right off…I do not want to wait for the Lord. I know, you probably thought this would be an inspiring Bible quotes post about waiting for the Lord…hopefully we’ll get to the inspiring part right? It’s not that I mind waiting, I am a mother of seven…waiting is just something I do. From the moment I wait for the little pink lines to confirm a pregnancy, I begin the process of waiting.
Bible Journaling and Bible Study
This year, I’m trying my hand at the devotional practice of Bible journaling. There are many forms Bible journaling can take, from lovely works of art, scrapbooking, and hand lettering. For those of us who haven’t developed those artistic skills yet, there is also more traditional journaling–writing. The last week or so, I’ve been using a commentary as I read my Bible as well so now I’m combining Bible journaling and Bible study.
