Daybook: Online Journal
Praying for…
I’m praying for my oldest as she begins her first “real” job. I pray not only for her protection but also that she is a light in the world, allowing God to use her as He sees fit. I’m praying for my second oldest that she uses her athletic skill and ability all for His glory and in thanksgiving to Him for those gifts. I’m praying for my third oldest that she keeps her sweet and humble heart–always a friend to littlest ones in the world. Of course I’m praying for the others, but these are in the forefront today.
Pondering…
I’m pondering where things go wrong. I’m an analyzer and one of the things I’ve realized is a definite fine line between trying to work things out and trying to force things to work out. I’ve also realized, wait for it–we don’t all need or can give the same things. I know, huge revelation right? I am not a person that needs to go and do and be in order to be happy. Actually, the further away from my home and my people, the less happy I am. I think sometimes that may make me seem standoffish.

This is an updated version. Sometimes, I need a little change up in the wording to help me uncover new insights.
In the Kitchen...
I posted a picture yesterday of a delicious Trim Healthy Mama Thin Mint Shake with a mountain of whipped cream. I planned on having one today except someone or a bunch of someones ate all the whipped cream!
Last night we had Artichoke Spinach Chicken–Yum! Tonight we’re trying a new crock pot recipe, Creamy Italian Chicken and Tomato Soup…I’ll let you know.
Around the House…
School has been going well the past week, lol! We had parent/teacher/principle/student conferences last week. We need to do those more often. Also, I’m in a constant state of feeling like we have too much stuff, but I look around and there are 9 of us, so I have to expect stuff to be around. But I need to weed, weed, weed constantly, like a good gardener.
Looking Ahead…
school, chores, soccer, hunting/camping, Thanksgiving, company for dinner on Friday (Yeah!)
Captured…Waiting in the van for big sister during her job interview.
As you begin or finish up your Christmas shopping, please remember if you click my Amazon links <> it helps offset the cost to run The Littlest Way and or buy another book.
Each day there is more encouragement and even some laughs over on my Facebook page. Head over and “Like” me there for more.

Fertility, Cycles, and Nutrition is one of my favorite books on the subject of women’s health. I also really like The Hormone Cure.
I keep falling off of the Trim Healthy Mama way of eating. I feel so good while I am doing it (which is about two weeks a month). Then I spend two weeks a month trying to eat all the donuts and fried potatoes that I can get my hands on!
I have a feeling that all of it has to do with hormones! 😉

Praying for a good Thanksgiving with my husband’s family; the safety of my brother-in-law who is crewing a sailboat in the Caribbean; and the recertification process of the Catholic school where my daughter teaches.
Pondering my schedule for this shortened week.
Reading A Burnable Book by Bruce Holsinger; The King’s Curse by Phillippa Gregory
Listening to the washing machine.
In the Kitchen: crock-pot stuffed peppers for supper tonight and three pies and brownies later this week.
Around the house: I need to finish two sewing projects for a friend this week and make sure I have what I need for the few things I’m making next month.
Looking ahead to a sewing retreat with one guild early in December and a day out with my college roommate.
Jenny says
Oh a sewing retreat. Sounds like a fun way to start December.

I laughed about the whipped cream! Family life is much like community life…For example if you want a piece of that delicious cake etc eat it now – it will be gone by tea time!
I’m the same…I pray for people according to their needs.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with loving home – it’s often the most challenging place to live the Gospel…
Jenny says
Oh my goodness, yes home life is definitely a challenging place to live the Gospel!
