Goodness, there is just something so comforting about looking back through my Catholic Bible Study notes! It’s literally a trip down memory lane. These memories aren’t just spiritual either. For some of these notes, I can remember what I was feeling as I read and wrote. I can even remember where I was and other fine details for some of these!
Do you have a favorite Bible? Are you reading everyday? There’s so much to be said for daily Catholic Bible Study. And if you haven’t been, or missed some days (ahem, like me) just pick right back up, don’t worry about being behind! I 100% believe the enemy uses the lie of “being behind” to discourage us and frustrate us in our daily Bible reading.

“Look, I’m dying of starvation!” said Esau. “What good is my birthright to me now?”
When I’m “starving”, I’m desperate. What would I willingly give up?
“Man cannot live by bread alone.”
“Do not go to Egypt. Do as I say, and stay here in this land. If you do, I will be with you and bless you.”
That year Isaac’s crops were tremendous!
Gosh so many things! Obedience is always rewarded in abundance!
Sometimes the Lord calls us to stay.
“Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!”
Pretty sure the Lord has said this to me A LOT over the years! One time Chris even challenged with these words. I remember it so well, standing in the driveway years and years ago, he told me I talked a good talk but I didn’t have any faith. OUCH! That hurt.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn your back on evil. Then you will gain renewed health and vitality.
Pride won’t make me healthy and vital.
