Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Pondering…
I’m pondering how the crosses we carry and the struggles we think just might kill us, serve a good. Those intense years of mental struggle I dealt with have helped me to become a more positive person. I am able to understand when someone cries out, “I just can’t…” I won’t lie and say it’s easy looking back, but I can see some of the good that came out of it, regardless of how painful and scary it is to look back at that time.
Listening to…
The washing machine doing it’s work, kids outside playing for lunch break, and today we listened to this song, Soulcake, sung by Sting. My children can’t stop singing it!
Reading…
My large print Bible
Divine Intimacy: Meditations on the Interior Life for Every Day of the Liturgical Year
Cheerful Chats for Catholic Children: Short Stories for Catholic Children with a Moral and a Prayer following each Anecdote.
I read this to the little boys at bath time each night. I read at least one short story to them–until they beg for two!
Bible Journaling…
Have you printed off the Bible Journaling pages? If I may say so, I love them! I’m considering printing off enough for the year and having them bound. I may decrease the size though to maybe an 8.5 X 5?
Around the House…
We had a major house clean in anticipation of seeing Joe (or Joe Joe as the kids call him). I say this after a major clean, “Let’s try to keep it like this.” Obviously if I say it after each major house clean, it doesn’t stay that way forever.
In the Kitchen…
I had s’mores and a hot dog on All Hallows Eve. Obviously not Trim Healthy Mama! I felt crummy the next day…back on plan for me. We are getting ready to add some venison to our freezer…yay! It’s time for some Frito Chili Pie!
Our Domestic Church…
November is the month dedicated to remembering the Poor Souls, so this month in the evenings when we say our family rosary instead of the Fatima prayer after each decade, “O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.” we will pray, “Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and may perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.”
Saving Money…
I read this quote the other day in Money-Making Mom that keeps going around in my head, “Live simply so others can simply live.” I’m trying to keep this in the front of my mind as I plan Christmas gifts, wandering through Sam’s or clicking around Amazon.

Happy Monday Morning to you!
Vicky Newcomer Cottrell says
I have been invited to an art journaling class which has helped tremendously with scriptures as I lay the words down one by one & design creativity around it. It helps to remember & get it into my heart for future use. I’m really excited about your printables as I will be sharing them with my daughter & husband as well. Thank you so much for your dedication to spread your God given abilities with those who hunger & thirst for more of HI. Due to your wisdom & creativity we are able to learn different techniques from your printables as it helps to continue getting closer & more intimate with our maker JESUS CHRIST. Thanks again for your faithfulness & wanting to make a difference in the world. May the Lord shine down upon you & bring here on earth from heaven something you have been believing for as a reward because of blessing many people all over the world with your God love to help others grow through your ministry. Sincerely, Vicky
