Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal here at The Littlest Way. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I am praying for my grandma. Anna and I went up for a day visit Saturday. My grandma is in pain. My grandma is dealing with the effects of Alzheimers. My grandma cried. I’ve never seen my grandma cry like that; she was scared because she said she was “lost,” she couldn’t remember how she got from one hospital to the other and back. I’m praying for Veronica’s big toe. She broke it a week and a half ago while playing soccer and has a college showcase coming up this weekend. The orthopedic doctor cleared her for play, but it will be sore. I’m praying for each one of my children for where they are: discerning Costa Rica and job changes, learning to read, having to learn how to make the best use of their time, practicing obedience and kindness.
Pondering…
So my grandma’s room at the small town hospital, which also serves as part long term care and nursing home, looks like a hospital room. The room next door is cozy with rocking chairs and pictures, plants and colorful afghans. I’m making a trip up there with the intention of bringing some beauty to her room/home. My uncles have asked her if she wants some pictures up there and she has said no. I on the other hand took a picture of my family up there and asked her where she wanted me to put it. Although a gruff old farm girl, she loves color and texture and nature. In her home of I don’t even know how many years, she has a room dedicated to her quilting fabric. The shades and curtains have always stayed open at her home so she can see outside. Her walls and desk are covered with pictures of family and friends. I am going to try to bring some of that beauty she surrounded herself with at her home to her room–her new home.
Listening to…
I LOVE Andrew Peterson. Here are two of my favorites

My large print Bible
The Mom Walk
Sally Clarkson has this lovely ability to inspire one to search and create beauty in the home; thus my ponderings about my grandma’s room.
“A woman who gives her children a heart to celebrate God’s life and beauty gives a gift of life.”
I believe without realizing it, Sally Clarkson is speaking of living a liturgical life. This is a life centered on the beautiful feasts and seasons of the Church.
Bible Journaling…
I spent some time yesterday applying Washing tape to the first page of each book of my large print Bible. This not my “journaling Bible” per say and I don’t want to use it as such, but I did want add some personalization. I used black and white tape except for some of my favorite books. For those books I used a different color or floral design.

The relics came to our diocese and I missed the veneration. I would have loved to see it. Thank you for all your posts. I look forward to every one. It truly is a blessing for me
