Welcome to my weekly post, Daybook Online Journal. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. I would love to read your Daybook Online Journal, just leave it in the comments section below. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
I’m praying for our dear friend recently diagnosed with cancer. She has a grandma heart for my children and we all love her so much. I’m praying for my children…to be a teen or pre-teen in this crazy world–No Thank You! I’m praying for our upcoming school year. I think we’ll start August 24th if I can get all my books ordered in time. Y’all! I will have a senior this year! That means we have homeschooled all the way through! Let me tell you know, a couple of months ago I seriously, seriously wondered if we could finish this. I now believe, looking back, that was a time of terrible temptation to not finish!
Pondering…
I’m pondering and Bible journaling through Matthew. I have loved the insight the Holy Spirit has given me as I’ve read. I mean on Saturday He put this insight into something I could understand, the key holes in my grandma’s door. If we just read the Word and take some time to reflect on it, or dig a little deeper and pray that God will show us what He wants us to see, we will. Maybe not every time, but even every once in a while is such a sweet gift.
Listening to…
My new favorite song, Huntin’, Fishin’ And Lovin’ Every Day
This song is my husband. This song is my kids and our friends. When I listen to this song I smile because I thank God for the people this song reminds me of.

Bible Journaling…
Are you Bible journaling with us through the month of August? Oh you should! There are a couple who are commenting publically and a few who have contacted me privately to say they’re reading along. I’m really enjoying using the POWER Bible journaling method and knowing others are reading along with me.
Around the House…
I NEED TO GET THINGS IN ORDER BEFORE WE START SCHOOL. AND YES, I AM SHOUTING.
In the Kitchen…
I did so well last week. I sat down and made a meal plan using Build a Menu went to Sam’s for the groceries I buy there and then got ready to go to Walmart to buy the groceries I needed to from there and could not find my grocery list of what I needed from Walmart! So I had to wing it and we all know how well that turns out. I’m sure there will be many times this week I’m going to be missing just one little ingredient.
Our Domestic Church…
I used to be so good about this…sigh. I’m going to pull one or two ideas from Jessica at Shower of Roses to celebrate August.
Saving Money…
We bought a new to us Suburban this weekend. My best tip for saving money when buying a car…take cash. Not only save up for the car so you don’t have to finance it, but also, literally take cash. The seller told us he was “FIRM” on the price…until he heard we had cash. Then he dropped the price by $500.
