Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

Praying…
Still praying our novena. Sometimes I feel like the old Dunkin Donuts man in the commercial who used to say, “Time to make the donuts.” That’s ok. I don’t have to feel all pumped and excited to pray, I just need to pray.
I’m also praying for the boys from Covington High School. Shame on the adults who verbally assaulted them, shame on the adults who allowed it to happen, shame on the media for crucifying them and releasing their private information, shame on their school and diocese for condemning them and shame on all the above for not issuing an apology once the truth was quickly revealed. They were in Washington DC to defend life and no one defended theirs.
Pondering…
I’m pondering the above situation. It used to be were taught to mind our own business in an effort to stay out of a conflict. Now, conflict seeks us out and then stands in our face beating a drum, literally. Minding our own business no longer offer protection against the enemies.
I’m also pondering this, would I be recognized and targeted as an enemy of the world? Something to think about huh?
Listening to…
The washing machine, the boys talking while they are eating their breakfast. Online I’m still making my way through the Seek 2019 Talks. They are so rejuvenating! Here is one of our favorites.

Bible Journaling…
I think this year may be more verse mapping than creative journaling? At least for right now.
Around the House…
My Ninja Blender is cracked and I need a food processer, any recommendations?
Meal planning, grocery shopping, laundry; the blessed usual.
In the Kitchen…
I must be deficient in Doritos Locos Nachos because since we had them at my sister’s house a month ago, I’ve craved them every week since, lol! Also, I’m wondering if I need to eliminate dairy? Or maybe gluten? I have a doctor appointment later this week to see what’s going on with my stomach. It is so much better since I started drinking Ningxia, but still a little naggy.

Self Care
You know I wrote a post about Can Christians Use Essential Oils, well I have a perfect example that I shared on Instagram over the weekend about why the enemy cares and tries to scare us away from oils. A friend recommended the oil “Envision.” It has some oils in it I like, but the description about awakening intuitive feelings or some other such stuff made me pause for a second. I went ahead and ordered it though after hearing how she was using it. Now, everytime I diffuse, wear or even just walk by the bottle of the oil, I start singing “Be Thou My Vision” in my head. I pause and ask God to give me His vision for my life and to help me see others the way He sees them, OF COURSE, THE ENEMY WANTED TO SCARE ME AWAY FROM ORDERING THAT OIL!
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I sign up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)
The Littlest Way
The blog redesign is almost finished! I’m compiling a Daily Lent Devotional for Women like the Daily Advent Devotional for Women. And I will probably make this available as part of our Online Bible Study during Lent.

Saving Money…
In addition to saving money, our Young Living Essential Oil business is making money. I got still and quiet last night and considered how and why earning, saving, and giving money is important to our family. That thought process inspired me to continue to grow The Littlest Way and Go Bravely Essentials. We want time and financial freedom as a family and we want to be able to give like no one else (as Dave Ramsey says) to help other families enjoy the same.
