Welcome to How to Live the Little Way. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.
Thanking God for…
::cool weather in Oklahoma in June!
::Chris’ fatherhood
::Bridget spending the day baking with my sister-in-law
::half price day at GW Boutique (Goodwill)
::my new skirt that reminds me of a vintage pillowcase (By the way and I thought this was just a given, if you have vintage floral pillowcases and sheets you no longer want, I DO! A friend at church the other day said she didn’t know and had been giving them away to the Salvation Army.)
::kids singing in the silos
::watermelon for dessert
::the Word of God
::fun t-shirts
Praying…
I’m offering prayers of thanksgiving to God for so many revelations lately and also for answering a prayer I don’t know that I would have thought of to pray. So many of the revelations have been painful ones, but still, WOW! I am still praying for discernment and clarity on a big decision. I am holding the friends in our Online Bible Study Community close as well as my in real life friends. I’m also praying for all those who are living under the burden of grief. It’s so hard y’all and please remember, do not ever fault someone for living in survival mode.

Bible Journaling…
I’m slowly working my way through some old Bible Journaling posts. I’m updating them, linking them to other posts, etc. You can find all my Bible Journaling posts here.
Around the House…
I kind of feel like we did a pretty good job of keeping things going this week. I think we’re settling into a good summer routine. I still need to repaint the bathroom wall that the blue fingernail polish splattered on, ugh! And I need to dust something awful! The kids’ bedrooms need painting…maybe sometime this summer? That’d be nice.
In the Kitchen…
For Father’s Day I made Chris’ favorite meal, Chicken and Dumplings. I doubled it so he could take some for lunch and we could send our friend home with some. I use the recipe from Cooks Country.

Self Care
Still working out and loving the way it makes me feel! I’m seeing some physical changes as well which makes it seem all the more worth it! Now, I need to get my eating habits in line with my working out. And water! I need to drink at least double the water I drink now, at least! I am so bad at drinking. I have a shake in the morning and then it might not be until noon when I realize I need to drink something.
We have given some roller bottles of essential oils to help someone sleep better and a bottle to support tired adrenal glands. It’s amazing how effective these oils are!
(I used to purchase my essential oils from Amazon or Edens Garden instead of a distributor. You can read my thoughts on why here, “Where I’m From…” I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or resources to properly educate myself on using the oils to their fullest potential. That’s why I signed up with Young Living under a former Family Practice Physician.)

What are some Bible Journaling printables you’d like for me to create? As I’m updating old posts I see a need for new and more Bible Journaling printables, but I’d like to hear the ones you would like to see.

Saving Money…
Have you ever shopped at the Goodwill? Have you ever shopped on half price day? If “No” you totally should. I honestly think you’d be surprised at some of the amazing deals on clothes, some with the tags still on! And of course I always shop their book aisles. I find so many books, best-sellers, popular books that I would pay triple for if I bought them on Amazon. I normally pay $1.50-$300 per book at the Goodwill.
