My 31 Days posts keep getting later and later…If it was thought of before midnight but not posted until after does it still count as Day 23? Of course it does! For Day 23 of my 31 Days Writing Challenge, I’m not looking back. I love it when an inspiring Bible quote comes along at the right time don’t you?
Inspiring Bible Quotes
There are so many times I am reading along in my Bible and an answer or some type of confirmation comes along in my reading. I recently shared in Prayer for Strength, some of blogging issues the past couple of years, from changing a name to make it more user friendly, to changing the name due to legal reasons, to stepping away for just a bit to re-evaluate what I wanted to do, needed to do and was being called to do.
I came back to blogging wholeheartedly and took a 31 Day Writing Challenge to reinvigorate myself and this space. I desired to spend 31 Days reading and blogging the book of Sirach. And I am so glad I did. I am a soul that needs to stay in the Word of God. I need that close connection, that close conversation with God or my mind starts wandering. It’s in these times of reading, pondering and praying that I usually find an inspiring Bible quote, something to carry me through my day or fall asleep considering.
Don’t Look Back
Each day of these 31 Days, I’ve just picked up my Bible and started reading wherever and whatever in Sirach. And twice now, Sirach 32:19 has stood out in my reading as an appropriate verse at just the right time.
Another version of Sirach 32:19 is, “Never do anything without thinking it through, and once you have done something, don’t look back and wish you had done something else.” That’s why, a little after midnight, for the second night in a row, I am putting up my 31 Days post. I made the decision to fully embrace blogging. I also made the decision to begin and end the 31 Day Writing Challenge. I’m not looking back on this one.
This verse also came in handy recently with one of my daughters and a decision she had to make. Here’s the really neat thing, because I’ve been spending so much time in God’s Word, I was able to counsel my daughter using the Word of God. I didn’t need to fumble and stumble for the right words, I had The Word and it fit the situation perfectly…and she made a decision and neither one of us has looked back.
Each day there is more encouragement and even some laughs over on my Facebook page. Head over and “Like” me there for more.

Dear Jenny.
You made me laugh with your “not posted until after midnight” comment…I can relate to that! How amazing you can write until the small hours and still have so much energy…From the Word eh? Wise advice from the Book of Sirach – and a great example from you…Thanks.
