Welcome to the Daybook. A weekly post here at The Littlest Way where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to, eating, cleaning, and learning. These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life and I want to remember them. My prompts may change depending on season and circumstance.

::self care–spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically
Praying…
I have a child who needs all the prayers and encouragement anyone can offer right now. I’m praying for our parish–big changes are taking place and I’m not sure about them.
Pondering…
People–y’all are a complicated lot.
Listening to…
My kids sing, “You’re welcome” every time I say “Thank you.”

Ugh, I need to grocery shop, like TODAY!
Self Care
I’m changing this category to “Self Care.” I mention frequently how I take of myself spiritually and emotionally–reading, Bible journaling and such. But I’ve been neglecting myself physically, especially in something so little like washing my face with something other than a remnant of bar soap in the shower–I have many children, remnents of soap is a real thing. I did a Facebook Live the other day about how I’m caring for my skin now. (Done! I just signed up to be a consultant! Contact me for more information–like a link to my consultant page and ask me about a Facebook party for your friends.) And something funny, that night, I was suddenly reinspired to write. Maybe I just needed to let it go.
Our Domestic Church…
This Thursday is the Feast of St. Maria Goretti. Obviously her story is a hard to explain to little ones but I do think her feast day could still be celebrated by focusing on her love for those she knew. She didn’t want the people that she knew to commit a sin. SO maybe this feast day would be a good one to talk about charity towards our neighbor, not just being nice, but teaching them about Jesus and praying for them to know Jesus and try not to sin. Just some suggestions.
Saving Money…
Oh GW Boutique (Goodwill) you are a dear, dear friend of mine. Leo and I stopped in the other day when we had an hour before we needed to be somewhere. We wandered around and as we were leaving I saw this lovely Buckskin colored purse. It looked like it belonged in the case–like maybe someone had looked at it and it hadn’t been put back. I picked it up–the leather was so smooth. I looked inside and the tag read $16.99 but today was 1/2 half any one priced item. Then I saw the brand–Cole Haan. I purchased a brand new, never been used, Cole Hann purse for $9 and change!
