Welcome to my weekly Sunday post, Daybook Online Journal. This is a post where I gather all the ordinary things that happen or are happening in my day to day. Things like what I’m reading or listening to…eating and cleaning and learning…These are the small moments that make up my blessed daily life; and I want to remember them. If you blog, please link up below with your Daybook Online Journal post. If you don’t have a blog, no worries, just leave your “post” in the comments. You can use my prompts or make up your own to include items important to you; mine change depending on season and circumstance. Today I’m giving you a peek into my prayer journal.

Praying…
I have been using my new prayer journal and I love it! I spent some time last week composing the prayers I wanted to pray on a daily basis for myself, Chris and my children. I also have sections for my friends–y’all included, Church, family and our home and school. I made a video about my prayer journal that I will share with you. For me, I needed this to refocus my prayers and make my prayer time intentional and keep me accountable.
Pondering…
Being the mother of toddler to teen. Talk about being stretched…
Listening to…
The office heater kick off and on. Chris’ dad bought one for his fifth wheel a few years ago but no longer needed it, so he passed it down to us. We use the fireplace to heat our house during the winter, but the office is one of the furthest points from the fireplace, so the heater comes in handy.

Bible Journaling…
You know how Picasso had his “Blue Period?” Well, I’m in my “Glitter Glue Period.” For real…I love using a swipe of Glitter Sparkle Glue to accent my Bible journaling illustrations. I only use the clear/white one.
Around the House…
Leo has a birthday coming up and he has requested s’mores for his birthday cake, using “dat fwirepace outside to make dem.” And he wants action figures as his gifts. Cleaning and decluttering as usual.
In the Kitchen…
Since it’s Lent lots of meatless meals and no treats which is tough for my resident baker…and her recipient siblings.

The Week Ahead…
Luke gets a cast this week. He was climbing over a pipe fence because it’s “quicker than opening and closing the gate.” He slipped and broke his wrist. Bernadette works, Veronica has soccer and soccer practices for the younger children starts back up this week.
Saving Money…
Chris has been scouring Craigslist for a bull calf…and he found some year old hens he wants to buy. Doesn’t sound like saving money in the short term but with the added chickens we can maybe sell some eggs and the bull calf will…I’m not sure? He’s “all in!” since we now have a cow.

I’m planning a whole bunch of crockpot meals this month… it certainly is something to be thankful for… especially when we’re swamped.
What a lovely update.
Thanks for sharing and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop.
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo

The Week Ahead
We had a surprise ice storm today, so I’m wondering what will get cancelled this week.

I am behind in my yearly plan but only because I’m going slower as I journal–still time in the Word though. So sorry to hear about the headache. I always try to offer mine up, but I seem to need to get to the pain reliever sooner rather than later.
Kaethe P says
I’m just learning to offer things up. My parents were converts, and we were raised without sacramentals of any kind. Thank you for the reminder of this piece of the true richness of our Faith!
