We’ve made it to Holy Saturday in our Lent Devotional for Women and this day is one of the most confusing of all year for me. What am I supposed to be doing? Am I stuck in sorrow because Our Lord is dead or, since I know the ending, am I anxiously awaiting Easter Sunday?
Good Friday in our Lent Devotional for Women. The silence, the pain, the isolation, wait…who are we talking about? Jesus or us? Both sisters. And the important point is, He knows pain, trials, and suffering so we can freely run to Him in those seasons of life. Do not avoid them, face them with Jesus.
This Lent Devotional for Women assures us and reminds us, the Church may be quiet for the next couple of days, but Jesus didn’t leave us, He went ahead of us.
In today’s Daily Devotions for Lent, pour yourself out for others. Don’t seek out what you can get; don’t be a Judas…be a Jesus!
This Lent Devotional for Women looks at two times when someone says to Jesus, “If you are…” Once was the devil in the desert and the other while Jesus was hanging on the cross. See, everyone has an expectation for us, even if false and ignorant, they will say, “If you are…” or “If you were…”
In today’s Daily Devotions for Lent, as part of our Lent Devotional for Women, we take up a daily affirmation–at least for this Holy Week. We take up a battle cry, “I will not resist God!” determined to finish this Lent strong. The finish line to Easter is in sight, we can do this!
