Welcome to the once and for all landing page for my Catholic Lent Devotional. I love Lent…or at least the idea of Lent. By nature, I tend to be a bit scattered, get bored fairly easily, stop and start, and struggle with day-to-day discipline, especially if I’m only accountable to myself. (We’re off to a great start eh?) But when Lent rolls around, it’s showtime! Spiritually speaking of course.
I feel like Lent is a great time to reset, restart, renew, and recommit–add the spiritual nature and importance, and this isn’t just some random time to start a new discipline for the sake of this life, we’re talking a new discipline in the grand scheme of eternal importance.
My blog traffic significantly increases during Advent and Lent; this makes me think I may not be the only one who struggles with all the things I just listed above. And along those same lines, two of my most favorite things I’ve written are my Daily Advent Devotional for Women and my Catholic Lent Devotional. Although I do sell downloads in my shop, I also provide a lot of free content, including this Catholic Lent Devotional.
In addition to the free content and the Bible Studies I offer in my shop, I also have a Catholic Women’s Online Bible Study. Each month we read, write, pray, and study the Scriptures together in community. There’s a reason Jesus didn’t go it alone. There’s a reason when He sent His Apostles out to spread the Gospel He sent them in pairs or more. And if the last couple of years has taught us anything it’s that we are not meant to go it alone!
But I get it, trust me! It is so hard to do all the things AND try to make or take a little margin for ourselves. And for me, lots of times, that margin cannot involve getting properly dressed and leaving the house; I’ve done that already for that day most likely, LOL! But an Online Bible Study, I can do that! I can definitely listen to a recorded Zoom Bible study while driving, sitting in the car waiting for kids, washing dishes, folding laundry, or even nursing a sweet little one day or night.
But back to the Catholic Lent Devotional. It’s good y’all. I don’t say that to brag or be puffed up with pride, I say that because if I were looking for a simple, short, sweet, to the point, gentle enough not to condemn me but meaty enough to convict me Catholic Lent Devotional, I would want to read this. I would want to read it, ponder it, take notes in a journal about it, and talk about with Jesus.
Bookmark this page, it’s the official landing page for the Catholic Lent Devotional. The links to each post are listed and each day you just need to click the next post. Or sign up to receive email updates and the daily devotions will be sent directly to your email inbox.
I am so happy to share something else I offer, something a little more personal and tailored to you. I became a Certified Christian Life Coach last year. I became the person I needed all those years ago. I became the person I spent hours upon hours, late at night while everyone slept, searching the massive internet for. I became a Life Coach!
My responsibility as your Life Coach is to actively listen to your story; the story you’re telling me, but also the story you’re telling yourself. As I listen, I hold you in the highest regard. Now, this doesn’t mean I believe everything you tell me; not because you’re lying or exaggerating but because I know, we are all so deeply entrenched in the painful parts of our story–you included.
My job isn’t to believe you or even ask you if your story is true. My job is to ask you, “Is this story serving you?” And then we get to work. This work comes from the wisdom of ancient Scripture, the latest in neuropsychology and science of advanced thought work.
I share more on my Facebook page about Life Coaching.
